DisneyBounding at Starbucks

I see lots of DisneyBounding when visiting Disneyland. Almost weekly I see some clever outfit themed to a Disney character when visiting the happiest place on Earth! Today, however, I saw some pretty amazing DisneyBounds while at Starbucks. To say it was a bit surprising would be an understatement.

A car pulled into the lot and parked across from the entrance to Starbucks. The car was from out of state and at first I didn’t really notice it as it was rather generic and grey. However, when three girls that could be Japanese hopped out of the car in DisneyBounds that were actually quite well done, they caught my attention. The first one was a girl in a Mary Poppins DisneyBound. It was basically a short skirt version of Mary Poppins Jolly Holiday outfit. The next girl looked like a penguin from Mary Poppins. She wore a black skirt and white shirt. The third girl, I don’t think was from Mary Poppins. I THINK she was a Kermit bound. She had a white skirt, light green shirt and a bucket hat with what appeared to be Kermit eyes and smile on it. She did not come into Starbucks so I couldn’t see her as well.

The trio was accompanied by a guy who… didn’t seem to be interested in DisneyBounding at all. He was wearing all black. He also was very tall compared to his companions. He did come into Starbucks to throw away left over In n’ Out. After which, he went back and sat in the passenger seat of the car. At this point, the Mary Poppins and penguin girls came in to use the facilities at Starbucks. Following which, they returned to the parking lot for a short photo shoot of the Kermit girl through the back side window of the car.

This seemed to be the end of the story as then they all got back into the car and I presumed were getting ready to leave.. but then they didn’t. They waited… and waited… and waited… and then when it was getting really odd that they were still there, more DisneyBounders showed up! They all stood around the car and chatted. The girl who had been driving moved to the passenger seat at the end of the conversation. The guy in the passenger seat? Well, he moved to the back seat. Another guy, in another DisneyBound that I couldn’t quite figure out but looked like an animal of some sort, hopped into the driver seat. At this point, the back seat filled up… quite literally. From what I think I counted, there were at least five people in the back seat when the car just drove away. If I had to make a guess, they are making their way to Disneyland and didn’t want to pay for two cars to park. That’s just a guess though.

It’s always fun when random things happen at Starbucks. The people watching definitely is something that keeps me coming back. I love watching the stories unfold in front of me. Don’t you? I hope you enjoyed this quick adventure at Starbucks.

On to the next adventure!
