You never know what you are going to see when you visit Starbucks. Today, for example, an older gentleman (that’s a loosely used term in this case) walked into Starbucks wearing all blue. He had blue shorts on, a blue windbreaker, and sandals. He had an unlit cigarette hanging out of his mouth. He wasn’t completely unkempt but he also wasn’t really put together either.
He walked into the store and made his way to the center table, where he sat down and watched the room. After sitting for awhile he sneezed. After sneezing he got up and went to the back of the store and what I presume ended up being the restroom. At least, I hope that was the destination.
Minutes later, he came walking back out. At this point, I realized that not only was he wearing a blue windbreaker, blue shorts, and, but he also was wearing blue boxers. How do I know this? He was walking with his blue shorts in his right hand. He slowly strolled through the store and ambled out the door. He was in no rush as he made his way away from the store and clearly was not uncomfortable with his change in wardrobe. I buried myself back into my computer and coffee and went back to work.
About a half hour later, he returned to pick up something he apparently forgot on the table. It was small and as he slipped it into his pocket and made his way back out of the store I realized… he was still wearing just the boxers. At least he had the boxers…
