Starbucks brings quite the collection of people into its stores. Today I encountered a person that I’m going to call the puppaccino lady. She came in with an incorrect venti drink. She walked out with a tray full of puppaccinos (I’m not entirely sure how many).
It all started when I noticed a lady loudly complaining about a drink being made wrong at another store. She elaborated about every detail that was wrong about this drink. The drink appeared to be some sort of fancy iced coffee with lots of modifications. The barista, to his credit, commiserated with her and offered to make everything better. I didn’t see exactly how things were made better for her drink. I did see her walk her nearly full drink that was wrong over to the garbage can and dump it after the conversation about what was wrong with it.
Minutes later, she is still talking about other stores getting drinks wrong and this store always getting the drinks right. This is where I started getting confused. The barista started handing her new cups…. of whipped cream. For those that don’t know, puppaccinos are basically small cups of whipped cream for puppies. This is what this lady was getting. However, I didn’t see any evidence of dogs being with her.
Once the tray was full with puppaccinos, the lady started making her way to the door. Here is where I get very confused. I didn’t see her leaving with her fancy iced coffee. As she left with the tray of puppaccinos I did hear her talking about sharing them with her son. My conclusion? Her son must be a dog…
On to the next adventure!
