Today is a weird day. A guy came into Starbucks grabbed his shoe out of the garbage and walked out (apparently he had put it there first?). At another table, there are a group of people having an animated discussion, each with at least two drinks. They also seem to have brought their own snacks. Nearby there is a lady who looks like she is studying for some sort of government test, but is really just watching videos on her phone with the volume up. However, these are all the closest to normal things I’m seeing in Starbucks today.
Across the room, there are three older ladies sitting at a table. They each are dressed quite respectably. In fact, one would probably say they look fairly well-educated and conservative at first glance. They seem to also be having deep conversations. That is… until they started gobbling like turkeys. I’m really not sure what the context was for this. However, I heard what sounded like turkeys gobbling in the store. I immediately started looking around and to my shock, it was coming from these three older ladies. I’m not sure who of this group was the turkey gobbler.
After gobbling a few times, they moved on with their conversation. It looks serious. It looks educated. It looks quite calm. But… they made turkey noises!?
I really don’t know what is going on today at Starbucks. I do know that this is why I get out of the house to work in a public setting.
On to the next adventure!
